In October 2016, hundreds of Daytonians came together at a dinner table the length of the Third Street bridge. It was packed with strangers who wanted to break bread with their neighbors and meet someone new. Longest Table meals challenge participants to re-think their assumptions about other parts of town and the people who live there.

Throughout 2017, the Longest Table team hosted monthly meals in neighborhoods and community centers to keep the conversation going. On October 14th, 2017 we returned to the Peace Bridge to learn from each other again and continue to build a stronger Dayton. More than 600 people were part of the table. In 2018, the Longest Table will return to Dayton neighborhoods!
