The Longest Table Dayton
2017 Main Meal

Saturday, October 14th, 2017
3pm - 6pm
Third Street Bridge - The "Peace Bridge"

Last year, hundreds of Daytonians came together at a dinner table the length of the Third Street bridge. It was packed with strangers who wanted to break bread with their neighbors and meet someone new. Longest Table meals challenge participants to re-think their assumptions about other parts of town and the people who live there.

For the last year, the Longest Table team has been hosting monthly meals in neighborhoods and community centers to keep the conversation going. These meals have been made possible with the support of the City of Dayton Human Relations Council, a 2017 City of Dayton Neighborhood Mini Grant, and countless other individuals and organizations who have offered to help.

On October 14th, we're returning to the Peace Bridge to learn from each other again and continue to build a stronger Dayton.

Registration and opening remarks will be held at the west end of the bridge near the RTA Cultural Center. Food will be provided at no cost. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here: Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite dessert to share.

We cannot accommodate food allergies and other dietary restrictions. We will announce what we're serving as soon as possible. The meal will be something simple and easy because the conversation is the centerpiece.

RSVP for the event today and be part of the Longest Table movement!

Walk-Ups are still welcome.
Look for the Walk-Up Registration table when you arrive!
